Group Counseling

The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

– Psalms 27:1  (NKJV)

Counseling in Christ

Healing Journey

An eight-week group for women experiencing betrayal in marriage, which offers hope, healing, fellowship, and coping strategies integrating therapeutic and Biblical principles.

Group Counseling

In group therapy, individuals with similar concerns share and listen to experiences as we process, learn coping strategies, and heal together. The supportive, safe environment offers hope, fellowship, encouragement, and compassion.

Techniques used may include Attachment-based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Faith-based/Christian Counseling, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Also, another method, Trauma-focused therapy, may be used as well.

An individual can expect a brief phone interview to determine if it is a good fit and beneficial to meet needs. If the group is a good fit, individuals need to complete an intake packet of information.

During the initial session, we discuss the importance of group confidentiality, begin to learn about each other, share goals, and talk about group expectations. After that, sessions will involve learning, growing, and working together towards meeting goals using various therapeutic and faith-based techniques.

I believe in an interactive, hands-on approach to therapy. We address issues using multiple techniques. You will have an opportunity to practice what we discussed in the session by completing exercises, activities, or handouts. I might suggest a book or ask you to work through an assigned workbook. Each session will begin with a brief discussion about what you learned, experienced, or insight gained.
